With Easter just around the corner, we thought it would be appropriate to give our clients some prior notice of the payroll deadlines we will be working to over the Easter break this year.
With Friday 7th April being Bank Holiday all workers will be paid on Thursday 6th April. As ever, it is essential that we can ensure contractors are paid in a timely manner to avoid any disruption to your business during the easter break.
With the Easter break falling at the same time as year end and the increase in National Living Wage/ National Minimum Wage, it is imperative the below deadlines are met the week commencing 3rd April 2023.
Week commencing 3rd April
For the week commencing Monday 3rd April, our payroll submission deadline will be Tuesday 4th April, by no later than 5pm. Due to the significantly limited time available to our teams to set up and run the payroll, during this week, we will unfortunately not be able to process any payroll submissions submitted after this time, therefore, please ensure that you meet this deadline to avoid any unwanted disruption. Any payroll received after this time will be processed in the following week where the payroll deadlines will resume as normal.
Please note that any payroll not processed in this week will be legally subject to the increased NLW/NMW rates for 23/24 if they need to be paid the following week.
Payments
It is very important to note that, for this week only, to allow our teams to manage the limited time available to them to process payroll, all payments will be made on Thursday 6th April and will be in workers accounts by 5pm on this day. Please be aware of this when speaking with your workers/contractors ahead of payday.
Week commencing 10th April
For the week commencing Monday 10th April our payroll submission deadlines will go back to our standard deadlines.
With Easter also falling alongside the end of the tax year, it is important that we give ourselves the best possible chance to process payroll with as little disruption as possible, therefore, we ask that you help us to deliver a smooth service by working to the above deadlines.
